Not very funny, don't blame you not to comment, just playing with words here...

Trilobite…

A word I thought could be just right,

It came into my very sensitive eyesight,

Will try to do nothing but herein bite,

But if I do get to do more, I hope it will be in the light…

From under the sea this fossil has come,

Must be more, yes maybe a lot or at lease some,

I wonder how it ended up where it did, must have been numb,

After an evening with the alcohol, it did become,

So stupid, so moronic, yes altogether dumb…

Will you understand this poem for what it is worth?

I am trying to make it as humorous as I can, full of mirth,

Failing so terribly, I do usually not, but once in a while, even on this earth,

So maybe later, a word will come forth, yes it shall, a new one will itself,  birth…

Ending this worthless piece of trash is better than continuing it, let me get my stash,

And get high as a kite, to help me to write, maybe I therein need, just a nights sleep…

                     “GOOD NIGHT”

Yes, sounds like the sleep would be a good idea
the word will catch you in your dream?
Let me see, are words important for a poem?
