Weird Weather…

Okay I know it is April,

Its showers bring May’s beautiful flowers,

And keep us out of drought so we may water those flowers,

Totally and completely throughout,

The summers heat, humidity and all else, just about…

But weird weather we have had, and are doing so at this very moment,

It is snowing & sleeting and raining all at once, the weather it is just so bent,

We have yet to get to go anywhere, not even for a walk, in the torrential out,

Rufuz has his kidneys floating, and I need water wings to survive without doubt…

I open the door, for Rufuz to go out, he looks at me with trepidation,

Dad, can’t you do anything about all that water?

He thinks I am god, I know better, what can I do, but move to a drier nation,

Nowhere in NJ is it more wet, than right here in the southern section,

Eventually we have to go out & brave the wind, the rain and the snow, not to mention, the cold…

Is this winter’s last harrah, or are we to be inundated permanently with weird weather?

After all, we do live in NJ, the weirdest state of them all, maybe today I should wear my leather…
