April 15th...PAST

The Tax Man Cometh…

And quite frankly he does go-eth,

The time to worry is past,

The time to scurry is also past,

Post office’s open late last night,

Last minute doers all running so fast,

Their tax work in hand, late they don’t want,

To finally pay, and pay and pay through the nose, only right…

Not that we feel it is right, ever,

The IRS does owe us a living, as far as most are believing,

But without the extension, we are past it again,

The IRS hounds are like back in their cages, no need to defend…

Next year will be the same, more taxes, more payments, more fees,

Better to live in a tax-free country, then again democracy there may not be,

The Beatles said it best with the song, Tax Man,

They wrote what they know; they are taxed out the butt,

No one, no matter how much they got, has enough for the tax-man,

They will take it as they are generally tax sluts…

As an Accountant and former tax collector, I can really appreciate this. The CPA firm my employer uses to prepare his income taxes completely closed their CPA firm down on April 16th in celebration of the end of the tax season.

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
