Fender Bender…

Today I had a bit of an accident,

This I know for my truck now has a dent,

The young girl who hit me, no injuries for us both,

She seemed to cry, and was upset, and kinda scared at the same time…

She was a kid, seventeen, no less,

I did my best to remind her, it was an accident, no more,

She did not do it on purpose, and I understood,

Why let it get you down, I really must herein confess?

Her car took the brunt of the damage,

Lost her front bumper, my rear tire only blown,

On went my spare, and away I went to finish my job,

Oh of course, after the cops had their time with paperwork, so don’t sob…

I felt kinda sorry for her, this young kid, seems so long since my first wreck,

I hate to think what her insurance rates will be like, but what can I do?

We had to call the cops, we had to do the right thing, what more can anyone do?
