Today at the Beach

A fun day had by Rufuz, played with the kids, chased the seagulls, and the shells daddy did throw...

Today at the Beach…

Yes today Rufuz and I did go down to the beach,

Ostensibly to wash our clothes on a rock,

And to get out of reach,

Also I wanted to show Rufuz, yes to teach,

The intricate and varied ways to use and abuse bleach…

Here I am not to preach, even to Rufuz as he may impeach,

Or otherwise end my relationship with him as his dad, I would then screech,

But we really had a wonderful time on our beach; never did we find a leech…

Rufuz is all worn out, poor puppy, played with the boys, and pooped on the beach,

Laundry all done, Rufuz enjoyed his time on the beach, here comes the rain,

I am glad it waited till we got home, sometimes after a long day, driving becomes a strain…

We thought of all you folks at the Den, those of you that can’t see the ocean,

Found a few really pretty shells, and tons of plastic bottles filled with lotion,

Those we removed from the beach, trashing them where they belong,

The winds from almost dead east, but a little north too, the ocean in a chop,

The sand blowing towards the west, had to shield the eyes, as always no lies…

Glad you had a great time, Ed. But one question: You still wash your clothes on the rocks by the sea; yet you say you've never used an outhouse. Quite puzzling!
