The one thing to that I know for sure about haiku is that they are fun. (I suppose in fact that these are several senryu... same form different subject matter) what ever you call them these they are fun.
I get a little intolerant of those who make a religion of haiku. They're very dull dogs indeed... and yes, somebody has to clean up after them , too.
fun haikus, ed; you should do more of these! really love the ones about rufuz! LOL but dogs gotta go when they gotta' go...no stoppin' it! LOL

Unless I remember the poetry gurus wrong...
Haiku is 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and
6 in the third. (Now watch, Ed...the gurus will be on me like
ugly on the proverbial large monkey...)
but anyway...I think when it refers to people and animals it is
called Sensyru...and when you write of the earth, weather and
elements, it is called Haiku.
All or none of the above...hee hee.
