Two I know giving up on booze, my stock is in the toilet, better to sell before it gets flushed...

Poem Artwork

Okay the time has come,

To sell off my stock, as I still have some,

This in alcohol & booze,

Remember if you snooze you loose…

One of our own is giving up the drink,

And a friend of mine poured his Corona down the sink,

What is this world coming to, can’t depend on anyone,

To keep drinking, to keep slinking like a lush,

Around the counters of every bar in town,

Instead they take their booze and do the flush…

So many private clubs, will lose their businesses,

Bars, clubs, liquor stores and the like out of business,

Due to these two people giving up the drink, no more will it flow,

Wonder what now they will drink, must buy therein the stock,

But I cannot be altogether too slow,

For others will get in on it on the bottom floor,

The hell with stock, maybe I should just become a whore…

Fear not, Ed, your stock is safe; Neither Ted nor I - will ever give up drinkin! (That would be a sin; wouldn't it?)

Pouring a Corona down the sink is a sin... unless it's warm. No, even if it's warm, pouring is a sin. Now I want a beer. Love the ending.
