Pooped On…
I warned you not to follow that horse too close,
Oh yes I did, I didn’t think you were so dumb,
Yes I realize you are just a dumb dog,
Your desire to run with the horsies,
Too much for me to deny…
But Rufuz, you got to realize which end to stay near,
If you run behind you take the chance,
To have that horse; no I don’t think the smell does enhance,
Well don’t roll in it and make it stink,
Oh great now we got to drive all the way home,
With you smelling like a fish-cleaning sink…L
U wont be living in the camper,
Not for a day, a week or a month,
Not with that smell,
What crawled up inside that horse and died…L
Your lucky poop was the only thing he got you with,
For if you kept snapping at his tail,
He may have kicked with his hoof,
Leaving a permanent mark in the crease of your head,
Or just maybe, if hit hard enough, you may have been dead…L
So, I hope you learned your lesson,
Horsies are unpredictable; you would be too,
If some one was behind and chasing you…J

Glad Rufus is ok, smelly is fine.
PS And I saw that nasty comment you made about me on Ted's poem. It is precisely because I sit under porches, in the rain, hoping to help little homeless critters, and think, quite a bit, for long periods of time, while sitting there, that I do know a profound write, when I see one!!
