Damn his hair, clogging up my vacuum, find it in my food, just generally floating thru the air...oh what fun...LOL

Argument with Rufuz…

Again I live in a house of hair,

It covers my rugs, softening my walk down there,

Twice a year it seems Rufuz does shed,

Maybe while he is doing so I will lock him in the shed…

Oh no daddy, you won’t lock me in that shed,

It is cold at night and hot during the day,

And the holes in the wall, they let in all sorts of prey,

Can’t get at them though can I,

As they taunt me & stick out their tongues,

Darn those little squirrels,

I surely like to chase them up the tree,

I will try not to shed on the carpet dad,

But please don’t put me in that shed, I will be so sad!

Oh Rufuz my bestest buddy, I would never do that to you,

I was just making a statement of humor; get a clue,

I don’t even like to put you out on the leash in the rain,

That should tell you how I feel regards those with less brains…

Excuse me? Less brains? Who is the one that slips in the grass,

Falling rather unceremoniously on his great big ass,

Who fell off the steps landing on his head?

Who sets things down and then loses them, tell me, go ahead…?

Now lets not get personal here Rufuz my friend, I have the hand that feeds you,

Then pats you down so you can make a big burp, what would you do without me?

You stinkin’ pain in the butt, hairy, flopped eared, twisted tooth, hound,

I love you forever, but don’t make me put you in that shed,

With this conversation I “could” speak differently going over your head,

Remember where you came from, my boy, yes where you were found…

Now Now Daddy…Please play nice because remember it will be Rufuz who saves your cooked goose…lol. And besides, I have a Chow and he is always trying to get the upper hand in the argument, and he refuses to go outside in the rain. Now put him in the snow and he is in his glory. Enjoyed the argument…I’d call it “A Draw!!!”

Ed, enjoyed this very much, I always carry on conversations, with all of my pets.

But please clarify the ending. My two mutts can't determine which one of you said the following:

"With this conversation I “could” speak differently going over your head,
Remember where you came from, my boy, yes where you were found…"

They think Rufuz said this to you; and frankly, I don't know what to tell them. They are a little snobbish, though, and they often believe I don't understand a word they say.

My friend, I enjoy reading your Rufus writes..
They always make me smile and remind me of my
Blackie. He's 1 1/2 years old and the light of
my eye. I wouldn't know what I would do without him.
Excellent write!!!!

~Linda
