Beneath a Wreath

My body, it is falling apart at the seams and everywhere else...:)

“BENEATH a WREATH”

My eyes they are a burnin’,

My hair does stand on end,

My teeth do scream concerning,

Pull us all out, putting our pain to an end…

My fingernails bitten off,

My toe nails overgrown,

My nose is too large,

My feet are way too big,

My meat? Well, you know how that ends…?

My hair is too long,

My beard is too gray,

My ears full of wax,

But I have yet to have a toupee…

Bald I will never be, less the barber takes too much off,

My hair it will grow back, can I say that about my teeth?

Better to be in my coffin beneath the proverbial wreath…

Yikes! Reading you, Eddie M, is an adventure for the eyes, indeed! But... BUT... stop talking about laying under that 'proverbial wreath'.. Sigh.. You are not only ALIVE.. you're an unequaled LIVE WIRE! and that's a good thing. Remember, with age comes wisdom... not to mention, full permission to be wacky and playful and grand! You're all that, me sweet... no question! (grin) This is one of my all-time favorites of yours. Yep! katy xox.

You brought a smile to my face with this piece, Ed!
Myself, I would rather be propped in a corner and dusted once a week:)

This was a cute little write Ed, but I feel that as long as there is breath in me, hair or no hair, teeth or no teeth, I prefer life on this side of the wreath. Great write and funny PICS.
