Culprit found, no jail time does it receive, no fine, hope its happy, I am not, but the older I get, the less I care...

The Culprit…

When I awaken in the night,

Long before the mornings light…

Rushing to the bathroom,

Tripping over Rufuz in the process, zoom…

Gotta go, gotta go,

But what else is there to know…

All thoughts of a peaceful nights sleep,

Out the window no more do I keep…

While you are up Dad, can we go for a walk?

After all you stepped on and woke me; can we talk?

Finally give up, after several trips, under my breath do I mutter,

Gonna have to get up and live with it, have some toast and peanut butter…

Damn popcorn before bed, the culprit of my constant trips,

To my stomach lining it does its worse tearing and the rip…

Peace finally found, can I get back to sleep for a few hours?

Only to have to get up to go to work during a day full of showers…

Yep.. popcorn will do it. Behave yourself, Eddie M... once you're in your jammies, only have fruit or maybe one fresh mushroom (NO! not THAT mushroom.. sigh.. grin). Be good to yourself and snooze away... katy xox. p.s. watch out for Ruffie, there on the floor.. poor thing.

Good write, Poet!!! I always trip over my darn Chow, and then have to take him out in the middle of the night, or he won’t leave me alone, ‘til I do!!! But, then I get to look at the sky and be thankful I am still alive, so it’s worth the trip…lol. Stop eating popcorn, and have a plain donut instead, you’ll feel better in the morning!!! Peace thru Tripping… Over The Pet That Is…lol!!!

Ed,
Snacks or liquid before bed can do that to ya. Have a good day all the same.

Hey, give Rufuz a break. You woke him up.

And be careful out in that rain today; it's pouring here, too. And my two mutts want to go out in it and splash around.
