Thanks to Ted S & Diane M, I came up with this word play of sorts...

(this is trying to be humorous, if I offend with regards street people, I don't mean to, geez this politically correctness is a pain)

Poem Artwork

Throw Shoes, U Lose…

If you throw them, don’t you lose them?

Here I am not to condemn,

But if you don’t want them,

Why not just give them to someone on the street?

Then we will have street people walking around in designer shoes,

Won’t do much for their social status, drinking booze and wearing pretty shoes,

But not to confuse, I have no idea what herein I speak, what else is the news,

Must be the heat, the meds and the lack of food, not to speak of the migraine,

But all this together cannot make me of much use,

Forever and always I am just your servant,

The one herein to bring to you an abuse of the muse…

Maybe it is better that I go take a bit of a snooze,

Rather than to bruise what little are left of my views,

Maybe you should just, through freedom of choice, choose,

Not to read this smattering that does ooze from my blues…

I just thought do they make shoes from kangaroo’s?

Sigh... as a confirmed barefooter, even in winter, I say give all the shoes away (without throwing them, of course LOL) to those who have cold feet through no fault of their own. When the weather is fine, though, I say: naked feet are best! (grin) OFF WITH THEIR SHOES! katy xox.

What the heck are you on?

I was captivated by this write until the very end - until you started advocating making shoes out of kangaroo hide - You stop that right now, Mister!

But I think giving shoes away to street people would be a marvelous idea.
