Humor and Nature, both my forte, or so I am told...ed

Burned…

Burned though I be,

The beach is still the place for me,

Burned though I may be,

Never will I leave my place near the sea,

Burned though I am a bit,

The ocean and beach is there for me to sit,

Burned I am, on my back,

Feeling like a lamb on a rack,

Burned I am on my legs,

Should not have fallen asleep after drinking those kegs,

Burned like fire on my arms,

The sun, the sea, the beach meant no harms,

Burned on my face,

The color of crimson am I,

I glow in the dark,

My future a job in a park,

Lighting up those back roads, oh so dark…

We could use a red light, or even any light on the dark country road I live on - even the mailman refuses to come down it - pack up this wonderful poem, your lady love, wonder dog, boat, etc. and come on down here - you can park off the back of my land on the canal that leads out to the bay and just glow away merrily.
