Blubber Gut…

Always have I wondered,

What the saying, “belly up to the bar boys”, meant,

Now that I have my own gut, overhanging my belt,

I now have an inkling of knowledge as to the meaning of that phrase…

Every time I stand against my own counter, leaning over the sink,

I see that phrase in my head, and think just how much it does stink,

Not a nice phrase to be remembered, specially in this circumstance,

But nonetheless a phrase of six words that has meaning herein…

I have lost it, to a degree, over time with water, instead of other drink,

Sugary drinks do seem to enunciate the problem, making it bigger, as it were,

Sitting in front of this computer, typing with little exercise, another problem,

But there is a bright spot on the horizon; I have my bike running,

Hopefully it will get used, not just sit attached to my home,

As all the other exercise equipment I ever did buy,

Simply to watch it rust away, yes the chrome to say bye-bye…

Wish I could say what I like in my own language now....lol...but it comes to this if I do a direct translation...
You call it "trombose" "the drum hangs over the evil one...or does anyone park his Smart Car in the open? No you park it under cover...lol!!
Excercise we do need even at 50...but not a problem for me...I run around everyday....so I will stay away from bikes....Not a "NUN" yet..hehehehehe...Ooops!!

Love through evil Tinka

This poem, "Blubber Gut" is another STRIKER to make thinkers think better on their LIVING.

THIS CLOSING LINE IS FOOD FOR THOUGHTS, social-political-spiritual:

"Simply to watch it rust away, yes the chrome to say bye-bye…"

May You enjoy a long healthy life, Sublime Poet!
