Have to laugh, got nothing to do, but it makes life a bit more fun, so laugh and laugh and laugh, haha!

Something to Do…

Okay, so I am bored out of my skull,

Looking a lot for something to do,

At least when I write this poem to you,

It gives me, for a moment, something to do…

I am sure if I were to look really hard,

I would find something to do, even playing with cards,

Solitaire, my game, but it gets to be quite boring too,

Maybe it is time, now that I am off of work,

To develop a program to shed off these pounds, yes my lard…

But when I did so the other day, I rode my bike around the campground,

I enjoyed it a great deal, but since, my lower back and legs need ultrasound,

They both ache, my herniated discs they pinch off that nerve,

That extends down my leg and makes it quiver and shake,

Not as painful as others do hurt, but nonetheless a pain I cannot take…

Oh well, at least I am not at work, to deal with this thing,

Sit at home comfortably, or the best I can, in the air conditioning,

Bitching and moaning about a pain I wouldn’t have,

If I had just stayed in work and did the right thing, I am so bad…

Bitch, bitch, bitch, ED! Will it ever end? LOL. Yeah, boredom is the "B" word, but by the time this is over, you'll have a whole book of UNboring poems on the subject.

A great excellent 'release of pain' poem.Good way to let it out that's for sure!Ed,mate,I know about herniated discs in back.I actually had one two years ago and it was FRIGHTENING!(that's understatement!)I didn't think it would ever heal (SO PAINFUL!)but I took it easy and also I bought an excersise ball.Do you have one? They are really great you can lie on your back and do sit ups on it or lie on your tummy (best for the pain)on it using your hands ON FLOOR to hold you up,it's just fabulous for strengthening all your body and is very gentle on your BACK aches, try it Ed,will you?I healed TOTALLY due to using it(mostly while watching television.)Don't get A cheap one though,go to a sports store and buy good one (around 100 dollars australian)or if you have to,the cheap ones are ten to twenty dollars australian (a U.S. dollar IS WORTH around 70 cents besides your dollar).Honestly Ed,do try it as it really works,it helps the disk go back in to origianl position and it heals.
It could take around a year though.Well worth it,also, never NEVER NEVER lift anything heavy by reaching forward AND DOWN to lift, that is deadly to a hurt spine, take good care of you,you can heal your back permanently without medications if you follow the rules, rule one, don't lift till back heals(1 year at least/two at most)then be careful to how you lift and what you lift...ask for help to lift...rule two, lots and lots of water (drinking it) and gentle excersise on gym ball (start with forward over the gym ball excersises first month then slowly resting back on ball with feet on floor for half an hour at time every day and night for few weeks then half an hour each night till back heals (you will actually feel the disc go back into right spot eventually if you persist.Use heat pad or hot watter bottle to ease pain.(Hot baths are good use lots of salt in them, ebson salt good and cheap helps too.)Be gentle with your back
and
you'll get it
BACK! I wont send you a doctors bill for all this info,it's free,
it works,so...what are you waiting for?

yes big guy
Know all those aches and pains
and when my brain's ink starts
to dry
my pains are a good subject
to dwell upon and write about

All work and no play makes Ed a dull boy,
So he becomes a poet,
And there he's found joy...
Except for those rough bike rides!

You are so funny!
