A vegetable in my old age

I am fine so don't worry, just wrote this to have fun and keep my mind working...

A vegetable in my old age…


 


Maybe a broccoli spear,


Or a carrot for that year,


Or maybe a potato name of bud,


Wouldn’t that be one really queer?


Spinach, peas, string beans or corn,


Some of them as I grew I did scorn,


To grow old and become one,


That would be a total irony that I would mourn…


 


My brain even now burning out,


Its cylinders firing but only just about,


Synapses sparking, trying to remember no doubt,


What will I do with no brain, yes without…?


 


What do you suppose it will be like?


Old age, with no brain, quite probably no strain,


Guess with regards sex I will abstain, what else is new,


Will I sustain my sanity, or will I be considered insane,


Maybe for all involved, it is better to just do the humane,


Turning on, then blowing out the flame,


On the, of life, gas main…

Hmmmmm... I think I'll be a zuccini or maybe Okra... deep fried! Perhaps we could share a garden, when we're 93, Ed. For now, I'll just settle for being a Hot Tomato! Wheeeeeeeee... katy xox.

This is Kool Ed
But stay away from the kitchen for a while
When old and without brains
is the end of the circle
a child is born with a blank slate and learn all
that is taught him
when your old, the brain erases itself
for the another soul, waiting in line,
For it
think about that one
also think about this life
as a pit stop on your way to paradise.
