No Tones About It

Wrote this on Thursday when no phone I did have...may not be totally humor, but...

No Tones About It…

Ain’t got no tones,

No about it bones,

Wish I had a few clones,

My tone today done off on my phones…

Had my tone at three o’clock in the mornin’,

By 8 am gone were they, I was a’mournin’,

No place to post, no way to read, couldn’t they have given me a warnin’?

Phone company says, “you are not turned off!”

I had to, although, even with their being honest, scoff…

You can check it yourself,

With screw driver and jack,

Did this I did, still no service in my shack,

Will come betwixt 8am and 8pm,

Gotta sit here and write but not enter,

Addicted I definitely am, that addiction, this computer…

Aha! There you are, me sweet! and I see you've made up for lost time... so, no ringing for a bit, eh? There are some who would celebrate that, if not for the other things it provides. There are days when I'd like to throw the phone out the window... It's lovely to see you back. Now, on with the show........... katy xox.

Glad to see you finally got your phone service back, Ed. It truly is amazing how frustrating it is when things we rely on every single day of our lives don't work.

My phone kept shorting out, every time it rained, and the good old phone company kept insisting the short was inside my house - I kept insisting it wasn't. After 27 painful exchanges, I finally got someone to come out, and the short was a tiny frayed piece of wire - outside my house, of course.

Welcome Back!
