Shut up Dad, I’m Tryin’ to Sleep…by Rufuz
My dad, he leaves the door open at night,
When it’s cool so I can have a breeze across me,
I guess he expects me to sleep right by it,
So why does he call me onto his bed when he goes to sleep?
Heck (sorry for cursing ladies) dad, if I am sleeping at night on your bed,
Either eventually you tell me to get off, or kick me in the head,
And then you are always too hot, hot flashes you have, what you said,
I don’t like being hot too, so I sleep on the floor, yes next to the door…
I can protect you better at the door,
The creatures of the night slink past drinking from my water bowl,
They hear my growl, see my shiny white teeth; I got the control,
Some are trolls and others they just do go by, yes stroll…
