Hugged a Rooster

Ed Kostro did make a suggestion,
I fear he will be less than happy with the result,
I hope he does not get from reading this poem, indigestion...

Hugged a Rooster…

I did take Ed K’s advice,

I did go out and hugged the rooster,

The one that did keep me awake,

I thought it was the right thing to do, for heavens sake…

But sorry dear Ed, I must have hugged a bit too hard,

Maybe I should have hugged less diligently, I should have myself, retard,

But the poor little guy must have had a bad neck,

I did ring it, not my intention, yes his scrawny little neck…

I set him up against a tree,

He has full reign over all he can see,

Well alright he can’t see, but you know what I mean, see?

His domain still his, I didn’t bury him,

Still he has and is the biggest cock, all the chickens they do also agree…

Ok, now I have a damned dilemma, Eddie M... obviously, my heart is with the poor rooster BUT... having said that... I must also say that your phrasing, wit, and rhymes here are creativity at its hilarious best! Jeez.. I just think this one is a GEM! (smile) katy xox.

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
