Guess you can't tell that I am just more than a "little" happy to be back to working, huh? Happy, happy, HAPPY!
If you ever catch me bitchin' in the near future, you have my permission to pummel me with a wet noodle...that will teach me! :-)

Back in the Swing…

Man, I do feel like that of a king,

I am back to driving, my favorite thing,

Missed it so much,

Feel like going out and having a fling…

Getting up early, no problem,

Not that I love it, still,

Driving my own car, rather than companies,

Well I have to get used to that,

Hard on the pocketbook, when the tank needs fill…

Paying for tolls on my own,

I hate to be doing the moan,

But I can write them off,

At the end of the year,

At least half of everything I spend while working here…

So let me get used to this new way of working,

New to me it is, no longer am I shirking,

Just glad to be back and on the road lurking…

You may have noticed that I'm going through your stuff today. Need a pick me up and since you're in such a good mood, well this is a good spot. LOL. Oh, BTW, speaking of tolls, on the way to Woodbury last night, I saw a guy who was driving a yellow van get into some kind of altercation with a Jersey Turnpike toolbooth cashier.

A state trooper charged over in his car, lights flashing, hopped out, yanked the guy out of his van and slammed him against the van's side panel. (This was all going on in my toll lane and I was in a hurry.) The trooper was about to cuff him. I don't know what the perpetrator had done or could've done that fast. Then the guy actually tried to escape the clutches of the trooper and take off running toward the Turnpike. Now imagine that, trying to escape on foot down the Jersey Turnpike, amidst the minivans, sports cars, and 18 wheelers. Where did he think he was going and at what speed? Guess he thought that was a better fate than being left with the trooper. He didn't even make it out of arm reach.

I started slowly weaving through the other lanes to another toll lane, other cars followed, and I saw the officer, who looked plenty pissed, drag the guy around to the back of the van. My son and daughter were in the car and kept repeating, "WOW! WOW! Did you see that? Did you see that?" Oh, well, another evening in Jersey.
