Wish I were a Fly…

I have heard this statement and read it a lot,

Wish I could have been a fly on the wall,

I could have watched all this occur,

I could have heard what you did say,

I could have done so and you would not have known…

But if you were a fly, wouldn’t you be worried,

I mean I would be that way if I were a fly,

Worried about how long you had to live,

Since the person you are listening to has a flyswatter in hand,

And even if he were drinking a whole bottle of rye,

If it were me, I have better aim when I am drunk, don’t ask why?

So the next time you do think of being a fly,

On the wall or the ceiling or wherever you may be,

Think about the fact, that they live short lives,

Some people actually do revel in the taking of a fly’s life,

With one quick swat of the swatter, ending a fly’s strife…
