Miss Spelling

We all misspell even the best of us, none are perfect except maybe...

Miss Spelling…


 


Her name starts with a miss,


She has never met her his,


Her mister has yet to appear,


Most men it seems of her do fear…


 


She corrects those that misspell,


Tries does she to make us all excel,


In her classroom she teaches quite swell,


She is quite the prim and proper southern belle…


 


She thinks that our world is coming to an end,


As not to spell correctly will be the end to civilization,


Or civilization as she does know it,


Her place in life her only station,


Spelling correctly her only salvation,


Her opinion she can defend, but will not amend…

Ahem, and excuse me, Mr. M... BUT... some time ago, I seem to recall a piece by you stating that you found it difficult to read someone who was not very good at spelling or had less than good grammar.... eh? Now, now... who has ruffled your feathers, dear heart? Perhaps, we should all just adopt 'poetic license' and be done with it... what'd'ya think? (grin) katy xox. (In my UNhumble opinion, you are among the VERY BEST of our spellers here in AD). Carry on........... xoxoxox.

You are so right! Nobody on this earth is perfect. We all make mistakes & we all misspell from time to time. Very well written!
