Such a nice dream it was, wish I did not wake up, nor would I have wanted to forever...this for me is pure fantasy, for now...ed

Trawlering…

There I am, on the center boat, waving,

See me smiling; see my pearly whites shining,

Around the world we go on my trawler,

Could not get anything much smaller…

Happy she is in rough water or calm,

Named she is after a common psalm,

Bad luck to tell, those old salts do say,

Suffice it to say, has something to do with a palm…

Passing the rock of Gibraltar,

Into the open Atlantic so wide,

My engine sound does alter,

Powering up do we, seas at ten to twelve,

Naiad stabilizers do lessen our roll…

Time for autopilot, a nap seems a good idea,

The off duty berth dry and stable,

Proximity alarm set, radar & GPS working well,

Time to lie down for some much needed zzzzzzzz’s…

It all sounds so lovely, but, in truth, (sigh) I've never been at sea without seeing land. I've never tested my 'sea legs'in the ocean... BUT... I grew up on the lakes around here and something happens when feet leave land, onto the water, aboard a vessel of any kind. Thanks for the dreams, Ed, a kindred spirit, indeed. (smile) katy xox.

Terrific write about a splendid dream.
We have had up to four boats at one time (three for fishin' and one speed boat for skiin') but now only have one fishin' and one skiin'. The thought of crossing the ocean (except on the biggest boat) has never crossed my mind; Doogie and I jump out of our seats as it is :)!
