Cell Phones SUCK!

Roaming in an area that is not roaming,

Ringing too short, can’t pick it up in time,

Messages cannot be left,

Something gumming up the works,

Hang up that damn phone and drive…

Trac-phone I do have,

Keep track of the minutes I do so,

When I get down to just a few, so low,

I just don’t use it for few days.

There are still times I would like to, in the ocean, throw…

Cell phones, a good investment for emergencies,

Got it with you just in case you run into some insurgencies,

But they can be a pain in the ass I am sure you will agree,

They do come with a guarantee; I won’t disagree,

And do for the most part, work to a tolerable degree,

But sometimes they are better thrown into the sea…

I always get scared when I see people on the phone while driving. And then they get so surprised when they get into an accident. Sometimes their windows are down and I can hear what they're saying. And it's just stupid stuff that could wait until they get home. You know what I hear those people say? The words I hear most often are: "Where are you?" and "What are you doing?" What, they can't wait ten minutes and find out when they're not in traffic?

Fun Write!I use it for work...but hate being the victim of long-winded one-sided conversations by those loud-talking blabbermouths who seem to have the phone surgically attached to their heads.

(((Ed)))

I don't have a phone, not even a toy one! LOL That's how poor we are! But we are better off without them! The boss would be calling us in to work every time; maybe it is a good thing we DON'T have one??? Besides, if we want to make a call, we have our calling card if it's a long distance call (only to our folks in Ohio, and also our friends Robert in Ohio and Michelle in California if they're home!), and we also use our neighbor's phones (and use the calling card) to make local calls! Or we use the pay phone! Where there's a will, there's always a way!

I don't like it when I am on the computer and someone's darn phone goes off! I just want to STRANGLE that durn phone! ARRRRRRRRGHHHH!!!!

Cute write, and love the graphics! Well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your Tx. friend, Karen Lynn. :D

i don't know, i don't have one--not even a regular phone

much nicer that way--no sales calls, no bill collecters, no one calling me into work LOL

but i hear you--so annoying watching somebody drive or listen to one ringing at a movie theatre or the library SHHHHHHHHHH! then people treat you rudely, as if their life is more important grrrrrrrrrrrrr

(((HUGS))) and love, karla. :(

Amen! I like the Corona commercial where the guy uses his cell phone to level the table on which his bottle of Corona rests. Or was that a pager? Either way, they do definitely suck. Reminds me of a Dickweed I know who sucks too! But his poetry is definitely creative and becoming more enjoyable all the time.

I've found most of my cell phones while scuba diving; and most of them still worked. And I haven't paid a dime for these calls. Damn it, Ed, now you've told everyone - and I probably won't find too many more. See if I call you any time soon, Mister!
