LIFE in general or not…you decide…

Ask for wine, they bring me beer,

Ask for steak, they bring me chicken,

Ask for milk, I do get skim,

Ask for sex, they say use your hand, no kiddin’!

Ask for children, I get bills,

Ask for a loving wife, I get the chills,

Ask for a good job, I get unskilled,

Ask for a raise, I get given pills,

What the hell do you suppose that means; I have had my fill…

Ask for warmth, I seem to get the cold,

Ask to stay young; I even faster grow old,

Ask for blond hair and blue eyes, I get baldness and a lot of lies,

Ask for the ability to write, they say I am not enough bold,

Ask for fairness, they say I will never therein be told,

Ask for one lousy joint, they say it can’t be rolled…

Ask to die; they say you have not lived enough,

Ask for an easy life, I get one that is rough,

Ask for the ability to deal with this rough life,

I am told you are enough tough, only one good life to a customer…

When will I get it, I do ask with respect?

When you prove yourself worthy, this life is never perfect…
