Am I going crazy?
Is it really that long a trip?
Oh Ed, you really must get a grip...!

Poem Artwork

Poetry Police…

Out of the woodwork they do come,

To examine and review just some,

They are here to police,

The poetry that we release,

Making sure do they we do not steal,

Anyone else’s poetry piece…

So keep your poetry to yourself,

Don’t allow others to peruse,

Other than that of your personal writers elf,

I only let Rufuz read what I got,

Before I post it therein ready it is to confuse…

The cops they do follow us all around,

Am I paranoid or does insanity in my family abound?

I see them peeking from behind every tree,

They are watching me, keeping me under their watchful eyes,

How much more crazy can I get within?

My handle on life broken off, what a sin,

So understand when you do read of my craziness,

My strings have all fallen off my internal violin…      © ed ~ 10/2/04

Steal poetry? What lunatic would do that and what kind of lunatic would chase after? If they figure out a way to make real money off my stuff, then I hope they tell me.

That's what I've been telling you all along, Ed--get a grip! I'm sorry though, I didn't realize your handle had completely broken off. I am truly enjoying your poetry more and more as I become more and more schizophrenic. Sorry again, that was an inside joke that I'll have to let you in on the next time we talk . . . or maybe you'll just have to wait and read about it in my next book. Seriously, though, I am truly enjoying your poetry more and more, or maybe I'm just becoming more and more attuned to your paranoia. Great write!
