Humor, philosophy, psychology, who the hell knows...?

Poem Artwork

Sometimes it’s just not worth chewing off the restraints…

Sometimes I do ask to be restrained,

For this world does seem all too strange,

Love reversed is hate,

Time it is for me to just close the gate…

Restrained from the rigors of daily life,

I do be when I have in my possession a sharpened knife,

They don’t want me to use it on the self,

It is only there for when I cannot chew off the straps,

Otherwise it is next to my bed on the shelf…

Crazy though life can be,

Chewing on the restraints I do for all to see,

Up my meds they do just then,

Those are the times I am happier, you know for sure when…

Passing through this life a chore,

Better was I when I was a whore,

Did not notice life passing by,

On my knees or my back I never asked why…

When you scrape your depths, Ed, the ache is palpible but usually makes for some pretty profound and well-written poetry from you. I always wish you well, wish you happiness... in the interest of good writing, though, this is among your best. I'm always impressed with your honesty... you hold nothing back. I admire that. katy xox.

p.s. at least you're not under a tree drinking beer all day... though we all get through the day whatever way we can... more power to 'im, if that's all he's got! Sigh

Passing through this life a chore,

It truly can be at times, but I guess we all have to make our way through it, the best we can.

Write On, my friend.
