I finally found my calling, unemployment...

...fifty years and found I did what I do best...

I finally found my calling, unemployment…

Yep, finally after fifty years,

And oh so many tears,

The job I do best,

I have found, it being unemployment no less…

Paid for what I don’t do,

Just like the animal in the zoo,

Faces made by the visitors, yeah you too,

No this is not in anyway untrue …

Wouldn’t ya know it?

Back to work I do get,

And I find I do better without, I bet,

No more long days, no more flying low like a jet,

How to keep getting paid for nothing,

My only worry, maybe I can claim my pet…

Boy, you've penned a gem here, Ed. And you should take no shame in your calling. I always say "if you're going to be good at nothing, raise it to an artform."

My tax guy told me that's been tried, actually. ha! Don't scare me, Ed... you DO have the one job, right? Sigh... I can never tell.

You could get a paper route... nah. How 'bout a doggy daycare... friends for Rufuz! Hmmmm... What about being a brain surgeon? I'll bet they get health insurance... em... wait a sec... they ARE health insurance! Sigh... What does Ruffie's resume look like? (grin)
