Out on a Limb…

Yes I am out on that proverbial limb,

Or so I do seem to be hanging over the brim,

Wish do I that I was a bit more trim,

Then this limb that I am holding onto,

Might take longer to break,

I shouldn’t have eaten all that cake…

Wrote more than I can recall,

Over this past weekend and all,

I ran out of things to say,

No more messages are coming my way,

From my muse, my lil’ writers elf, maybe I need to get laid…?

Say it isn’t so, say I did not over extend,

I tried my best today to write something good I do portend,

But try as I might, I came up with only crap,

Need I do to grab my muse again in a trap,

For if I do not do so, I may just become another boring sap…

(((ed)))

your writing is not crap. you may write about crap, but that doesn't make it so. :)

i love your writes--don't rush, just let the words come to you. or do what i do--start typing and see what unfolds before you--i don't always have to think about it, it just comes :)

see if that helps--(((HUGS))), love and prayers, karla. :)

Uh, was this poem written by Ed, or by Rufuz? Inquiring minds want to know because Ed truly did write tons of poems this weekend, and Rufuz put out a few hints and messages - again - about still being a virgin.

Or, maybe this post is a Mind Meld between both. Fascinating!

Nothing boring about this Ed, but I must say...that is a strange looking limb you got a hold of there in the photo.
