60 days past October…

Not long is it away,

Only sixty more days,

Then we can’t wait for them to say,

After Christmas sale is on take what you may…

You have but sixty days give or take one,

To buy that special gift, giving it to someone,

I know not what I want, just get me all or some,

My desires for presents and stuff waned with the summer sun…

Just a card will do for some,

For others give a bottle of rum,

Just some help for you that can’t think,

Husbands usually want something that does not stink…

If you do find yourself again stuck,

Feel free to call and I will wish you luck,

Power tools for the bedroom your wife won’t want,

We all know what you desire in the bedroom; yes her…J?

Last year 2007 I did my last minute shopping for my cousin at 6 p.m. christmas eve. Not this year. I bought her a makeupmirror for her dresser. She used it for a candle holder at her fireplace. oh, well, at least it was put to some use. Looking forward to 2008 Christmas, going to Kris youngest daughter's to see spoiled 14 year old Whitney open her many many too many gifts as usual. Christmas is the season that Jesus should be the reason. Don't like all the commercialization of it at all, not one bit. But must put on a good front and celebrate it. For years Tom would say, This might be my last Christmas, well 2006 was, and I am still so sad over it.

Power tools in the bedroom? Is that similar to Motormouths in the den? You constantly tickle me with your clever twists on familiar themes... good stuff, Maynard! (remember that?) hehe... Merry December, you. katy xox.

The day after xmas is St. Stephen's Day. I always like saying Happy St. Stephen's day because that means the whole other thing is over. You have captured the feeling here and then some I think.
Regards to Rufuz and to you for fine writing.

Feel free to call and I will send you
Power tools for the bedroom your wife won’t want,

Wow! What a generous offer; and I was stuck on what to get the Little Woman this year. What's the number to call for my (uh, her) free power tools?!

I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. The first time in many years I will be around people who enjoy it as much as I do and the best part is I get to see it through 3 grandkids eyes! YIPPY!

Let the Christmas writes begin :-)
