If this is a little blurry, I am still blinded a bit from the headlights I am writing about...LOL! ed

Poem Artwork

Headlights…

Not the kind that attach to the head,

To use while walking through a cave or shed,

No these are the real kind, a part of a car,

Some are way too bright; other planets must think it a star…

They are so bright, they burn off oncoming drivers eyebrows,

Right through their windshields, their glass magnifying the effect,

I realize they are good on really dark roads, to keep from running into wandering cows…

But boy, what they do to other drivers,

They must now make glasses that tint,

To prevent them from being blinded, get the hint?

Maybe this poem I should send to the newspaper, thereby getting it in print?

Some are aftermarket; some do come with new factory cars,

But geez, they are able to be seen from as far away as Mars,

They may even be able to create on our faces scars…

Especially if they are being beamed through your rear view mirror that seem that the guy is standing on your bumper. I once knew a biker that used a logging chain to solve that problem. My little SUV has squeaky lights.

The ending of this one is powerful in its reflection and hopefully will get the right persons attention that can take them off the market.
