Fictional, we will be attending dinner at a friends home...

Poem Artwork

Turkey Day Cometh…

Okay, so they ain’t turkeys,

Hey, its better than eatin’ beef jerky,

May not keep you very much perky,

Okay so I am just a bit too quirky…

This horror movie brought to you buy chickens,

Better that than a book written by Dickens,

Movies are much more entertaining,

For Thanksgiving day dinner this year, there will be slim-pickens’…

What else can be said,

Not all of us can eat our fill, yes fed,

This Turkey day dinner I look forward to with dread,

Not much will we be eating; small will be our spread…

But fear not for our tummies will be full,

I am not lying; no I am not giving you any bull,

We will clean our pots and pans at the end with steel wool,

Even chicken and hamburgers, hot dogs and cheese,

Do for us this thanksgiving, giving us more than we please…

First of all, in my world, one can never be "too quirky" (grin)... then there's that word "ain't" Sigh... I'm thrilled that you've come down from your "high horse" of perfect spelling, etc. for a moment because ain't is a dandy word, says I. hehe... Now, then... You two turkeys are covered for the annual FEED?! That's news I love to hear. If they ask you to bring a dish to pass, I must remind you, Alpo is NOT considered to be widely preferred! Harrumph! Two men, such as yourselves, may need that little "heads' up"... ha! Happy Thanksgiving, you two! katy xox. p.s. Chocolate Mousse or a nice crepes suzette is always a lovely contribution. Perhaps Rufuz has a recipe for those. (griiiiiiiin!)

What ever the meal is,
give thanks to God and clean up
after yourselves! That is what a
good meal is all about! Especially if it
is at your sister's house this year! (No cleaning dishes!)
Yea!
Love to you,
Becca
P.s. Happy Thanksgiving!
