Daddy came home to see ME!

Yes, my daddy did come home,

From wherever it was he did roam,

This day he did try for a new job,

He must have done ok,

As when he got home he did no sob…

He said his interview, (whatever that was) did go well,

He did himself the best he could sell,

He made some mistakes; he is worried he did himself screw,

But whatever does come our way, we are together again today…

I talked to him when he came home,

He gave me a bacon-flavored bone,

Took me for much needed walk,

Took himself a nap, had dinner and now does relax…

Boy was I ever happy, my daddy did come home,

I hope and pray he will get this job,

He surely does deserve something good in his life besides me and mom,

If he does get this job, I know that he will remain altogether calm…
