Warped Speed…
‘Tis the speed of trekking the stars,
Faster it is than driving our cars,
No longer to worry about driving after the bars,
We do just switch on the overdrive that’ll transport us to Mars…
We do traverse the Milky Way,
With chocolate candy on our buffet,
Encountering all sorts of nice folk,
With some we do take a toke…
Our captain a stalwart soul,
The first mate he does roll,
I be the crew and as such I use a bowl,
On our universal journey we do patrol…
Passing Pluto we do look for floppy ears,
The captain does pass around, on a stick, the frozen beers,
We do receive from earth a message of holiday cheer,
Our small ship being of earth their pioneers…
The great beyond, further than man has thus far attempted,
Each planet we do pass we find ourselves quite tempted,
Wish do we to start civilization anew,
To the earth in our wake, we bid thank you and adieu…
