Omelet & sausage…

Sleeping in late,

At the moment I don’t have to be at the gate,

Noon a good time to arise,

Breakfast time at lunchtime, but this you already did surmise…

Mozzarella and American cheese,

Two eggs mixed with milk,

A glass of cranberry juice cocktail,

Washed all down with a quart of chocolate milk…

My mid afternoon meal complete,

I can now the world do greet,

Walk Rufuz and play with his ball,

My god the temps do feel almost like fall…

The end of this year and heading towards the next,

Not a worry do we have, old Rufuz and I,

For a few days off we do enjoy, able to read, if I can find my specs,

The New Year does approach, nine hours hence,

We do sit around the house, reading and writing poetry,

Trying not to do anything that might be considered complex…

YAY! What a "comfy" poem, suitable to relax even the most hyper among us! LOL... it's these slice-of-life, intimate and 'down-home' sharings that tickle and delight. This was a lovely feel-good read, Eddie M. Enjoy your time to hang out. katy xox.

It is nice that you were able to enjoy your day, Ed, though the combination of your breakfast sounds like I am glad you are not within whiffing range. Happy New Year to you and Rufuz.
Take care,
Sherry

Next time, try some beer and rice krispies. Nothing beats a good ol'fashioned snap, crackle, and burp.

Well whatever you do keep eating your omelets it sounds good but beware of Bullseye Spicy and Honey unless you like it hot enough to melt down the comode.
