On the Run…

If I don’t answer the phone,

If I don’t answer the door,

If the lights are off,

And Rufuz does not bark,

It probably means nobody is home…

If my stereo is not blasting,

Nor my TV flashing,

The windows are all shut,

And no car in the drive,

It probably means nobody is home…

I may have gone to the beach,

Just trying like hell to stay out of reach,

Of my creditors, my neighbors, and anyone else,

Can’t stand can I anyone just dropping in,

Call first, send an email, better yet, give me a week,

In that time I should be able to clean the reek…

But if gone to the beach, we have done,

Don’t expect us to run home to visit,

For it is sure and certain a conversation you will have none,

We are out having fun and from you, ON THE RUN…

My good aunt Edna wants to send me on the run. She does not want me nervously ill again like in the past over this move. She said last night, just let me give you a day trip to the ocean. Go get a ticket and spend time there reflecting and letting it go and come back refreshed. Guess I'll do that next Friday for a day away from it all too. It is so nice of her to want to do this for me, I can hardly believe it is true, my going to the ocean is the thing I want to do as of now.
