Just letting it flow

Sometimes I want to write, write, write,
Then other times I can't find the light...

Thought of late I was out of gas,

My muse had again gone on vacation,

Just, I do find, I have to let that time pass,

Then afterwards I will be again cooking with gas…

Now I cannot write enough,

Even though some are quite rough,

I leave them on a disc to ferment,

Better there than to write them in cement…

Used to love to write and drive,

But nothing seems to be flowing till home I arrive,

Sitting in the semi-solitude of my home with Rufuz,

Inhaling the scents of home and all his stinky fuzz…

So if I do miss a few days,

I am just whiling away my lazy daze,

Enjoying life as best I can,

Maybe just trying to get a cold winter tan…

I just read Kathy in N Mexico, but she will be home today, so it does not pertain, so I have to come up with a new write to replace it now again. Oh, well maybe something will come to mind soon.
am kind of exhausted but going out to Bingo tonight with my friends.

Hmmmm... you say you 'can't find a light?'... I just read your previous poem where you claim the humanity in NJ is basically LIT UP like fireworks. Just sidle up to one of those "big breasted" ones you mentioned and carry on... giggle.

I'm glad you are a bottomless well of poetic wealth. Yep. katy xox.

Rufuz you take good care of your dad while he's
flowing in his laze daze, and inhaling all the
scents/sense/cents/;-)

Better than an ice water douche. Some day I will explain that one.

Inhaling the scents of home - now that is quite the poetic imagery here, my friend - but don't go blaming poor old Rufuz for those scents.

And I truly hope you do get to enjoy life these days.
