Sometimes dad seems to have to just act like a dad...*R*

Daddy was mean to me today…by Rufuz

That guy did stick me,

With a pointy thing in my knee,

They took out some red stuff,

They said it was part and parcel of me…

But daddy did let them,

Have their way with me and more, then,

I got this thing called a shot,

Not like the kind daddy used to drink,

This kind was in the pointy thing,

Boy was I ever thirsty afterwards,

It did conceivably drive me to the sink…

I got a new jingly thing on my collar,

Dad says it was well worth the cost,

Maybe it was only a dollar,

I got to see other doggies, like me they looked lost…

Rufuz,

Obviously your daddy loves you, or he wouldn't care. He takes you to the vet to make sure you're going to stick around for a while, to make sure you're healthy. Don't be mad--ask daddy about prostrate exams, THOSE, i've heard tell, are nasty for human males to endure. :)

A heart-touching write--lotsa (((HUGS))) to make you feel better.

love, your Auntie Karla in Texas.

Awww, they just never get used to going to the vet do they? I guess they really don't understand it either, but I have found that if I remain with my cat, and don't let them take her away to treat her, that she does better with it all. If they take her away and treat her, she is upset with me for days. LOL at Katy..what a brat!
Take care,
Sherry

poor, poor baby..but it is only because your daddy doesn't want you to get sick; he cares for you! unfortunately, that is part of life; us humans have to get stuck too, once in a while, and it is never fun! i know!! but it is always great when it is overwith and done! hope you feel better soon baby; here's some (((HUGS))) for you!!

cute write about a not so fun experience; but there IS good news: you survived! you were a brave boy, and i am proud of you, buddy!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in tx., karen lynn. :(

Nevermind those cheeky rascals, Turbo and Chica Blanca... Harrumph!

Daddy loves you, Ruffie, that's why he allows pain and suffering. (Is she kidding???) Also, that new thingy daddy bought you is "suck-up" stuff so you'll forgive him.

Here... let auntie katy give you a big hug. There, isn't that better? (grin) katy xox.

Dear Rufuz,

When our Dad takes us to get stuck with that pointy thing, we don't talk to him for about a week. It seems this silent treatment works because he gets so depressed that we won't talk or play with him, he doesn't take us back there for at least a year. Try the silent treatment on him.

Well tell Rufuz that mama is going to be mean to Smokey Bear Lloyd next month. Even if he does scare the vet. He is just one big old goof with a grin.
