Atrophy

Just fallin' apart from non-use...

Atrophy…

A certain part of me is wasting away,

Withering it is more than I can say,

Shrinking from view, more and more each day,

Minifying rather than magnifying much to my dismay…

Its use has been greatly cut back,

Obviously I have no one so I do lack,

It used to be at one time such a long and thick snack,

Now I am lucky it does work when it gets its daily whack…

Sometimes it does not even see the light of day,

Under a blanket or in my drawers it is tucked away,

Herein I do try not to relate to you what exactly it is,

Suffice it to say, used it is for when I do stand and take a piss, anyway…

Although you may still think it is something kind of a bit flaccid,

But that may not be the case although yes it can be called limp,

Could be my wrist, when I do stand in the wind and let it wave,

Or my longish hair that flies through the air, god I wish I could it save…

So do not jump to conclusions,

And don’t in your dreams have any illusions,

For this part of me may not have of its own any reality,

I am after all, as you well know, very confused and full of delusions…

I hate to have to relate all that is wasting away on me.

"...in my drawers it is tucked away..." hmmmmm... perhaps you should wear it more often... have you tried starch? how 'bout yeast! ah, well... I prefer to keep mine in a hat box. (At least keeping it "under a blanket" will keep it warm... unless you prefer it HOT! hehe) Just be careful that you don't squish it when you go to bed. (Would someone please stop this woman?! Sigh) Now then.....

You've gone subtle and it works! I love this one. Will you tell us what it is if we say please? GRiiiiiiiiiiiN !! giggling katy xox.

LOL, Ed...sorry to laugh, but couldn't help myself. It is really a case of use it or lose it, so ya better get yourself back on track...use a sack if ya don't have a...nevermind that really was going to sound sleezy. Sometimes, your poetry brings out the sleeze in me, Ed.
Take care,
Sherry
