Cold or no Cold

Got a cold, and it is cold, but must go to the cold, cold beach to rid myself of this cold...

Cold or no Cold…

To the beach I must go,

To inhale that sea air,

Throughout my body I must let it flow,

Then no matter my condition I will have not a care…

I can just about feel the salt,

Permeating my inner being,

Clearing my vision, better I will be seeing,

This cold not my fault,

Today I will assail it with an amphibious oceanic assault…

It is said that salt air does clear us of our woes,

If that is the case then I am bound for the beach, yes I do go,

I hope to feel better, at least getting cleaned out my nose,

This cold I do have and I will be battling, yes we must each other oppose…

I have only had the sniffles with a bit of a sore throat,

Nothing so far that has really gotten my goat,

I am not too crazy; as I will when on the beach, wear a coat,

But hear me now; I am going to beat this cold,

And for future bacterial attacks, I will build around myself a moat…

Don't forget the chicken soup... it's not a myth, promise.

May I suggest you gargle on some of that lovely salt water? Nevermind the plankton and the algae, etc... maybe they have healing powers... how would I know, I only have lakes nearby... sigh.

Don't forget your hat, mittens and scarf! (this message brought to you by Mother Jones... oops, that's a magazine.. ah, well.. hehe..) JUST GET BETTER, my dear one. katy xox

Why is a cold called a cold when you feel hot having a cold, even if its not cold?

No a cold is not fun and I had one for a month. Mama used to take green onions and fry them in bacon grease. Tasted good and worked on the cold and Sherry's suggestions work too.

A cold is no fun though I haven't had one for quite some time (knocking wood.) When I feel one sneaking in on my I take that Occillococinum stuff and it usually kicks the cold right away. Of course there is always the Vicks Vapo-Rub thing where you apply it dress warm go to bed and sweat it out..pretty effective too! I hope you feel better soon.
Take care,
Sherry

I remember when I used to get colds. This makes me shiver. Very effective, Ed. I don't seem to get colds or flu anymore. I guess I am into more serious stuff. Thanks for this. Love and peace to you and to Rufuz. Regis

Douse your ear swab with some peroxide. Roll the ear swab around in nose as far as you can stand it. Do both nose holes. Then wait about two min. or so. You should be able to blow and breath through your nose for awhile. It works for me.
I hope you start to feeling better.
Signing off, Doctor Nose.
