Procrastination…

I wait till the last minute to file,

I hate to give the government anything on time,

Each and every time I do so I feel rise in my throat bile,

I wonder if taxes are at all worthwhile…

I take my shower for work with half an hour to spare,

I then leave for work wishing I was already there,

I drive too fast, getting me there on a prayer,

My life seems to be always late, I solemnly do swear…

I try sometimes to walk the dog early,

Giving him time to do his thing, he seems to get so surly,

We run and we play and then I brush out his hair so curly,

That makes me even later, forgetting to brush my teeth so pearly…

Better get started right now,

Or again I will be running late,

I guess that the fact of the matter is,

My life is always late; it is I guess my lifelong fate…
