To learn a new word...

Sounded to me like someone’s joke,

Or maybe something made with yolk,

Or something you would drink with coke,

Certainly not something one would smoke…?

While laughing at its sound,

I discovered these two dots so round,

Above a word in the vocabulary German,

Learning a new word daily has been what I do determine…

I thank that poet that helped me to learn,

Now how do I make the symbol is what I now yearn,

Can just imagine a teacher behind me with a yardstick so stern,

Oh what the hell, as long as learning I do never spurn…
