Way Too Fat

If nothing else I can joke about myself, that has to count for something...?

Poem Artwork

Way Too Fat…

I swallowed a beach ball,

Or so my gut does resemble,

As far as my butt,

I wish I could start over and it disassemble,

I cannot see my shoes anymore,

Thankfully there are mirrors,

Otherwise I would believe I no longer have balls…

My weight up since this job I started,

Making more money was good but from starvation I departed,

I eat more than I need; I know this for a fact,

Too lose this weight; with the devil I would make a pact…

I am a large guy, that’s a given,

My job is sitting all day & by myself being driven,

I do get “some” exercise, but only in short spurts,

Walking from the car to where I pick up specimens,

I am of late up to wearing triple “X” shirts…

I have walked off some weight in the past,

But my exercise program did not, obviously, last,

I keep wanting to do it, but never get started,

Guess with regards this problem I am mostly fainthearted…

When clowns laugh I feel their tears..........

Sorry can't find this funny today.......recently had to witness an overweight woman in a physical and emotional abusive situation and when I told her she shouldn't let them do that to her that she was worth a lot more then that, she replied, "Apparently not." The pain was awful.

Progress, obesitity is thy name. There wasn't much of that going around back in the "good old day." People worked hard, ate simple and stayed slim for the most part. Of course they died younger too. now we have "miracle" drugs that keep us alive despite our lazy lifestyle.
