No Muse is Bad Nuse…

Another vacation,

Or maybe a trip to find a vocation,

Either way again my muse is gone, much to my frustration,

I have searched for it high and low,

Rufuz did have the scent but lost it as he has little concentration…

Work and sleep,

Is all I do,

Seeing nothing each day new,

Therein my muse does not make a peep…

Even this little poem of explanation,

Is difficult without motivation,

I live here in isolation,

Leaving my muse to rely on my imagination…

For me it is apathy that keeps me from putting pen to page. My Muse runs wild all the time, dumping rhyme, it is I who am too busy in the other areas of my life to write it all down. Your Muse will return, probably when you have just drifted into a much deserved, relaxing sleep. Bang, pop, pow, eyes snap open and your head is abuzz with rhyme and inspiration; leaving no rest for the weary. A Muse can be both a blessing and a curse...LOL
Take care,
Sherry

Awww, the muse is a ruse thing at best. Something we use to confuse the rest, the boring nonpoets who don't know it's blood, fears, and effects from our beer that we spin from our pens, my dear. ;-D ~~Nordette

Aha, you clever Eddie M, you... a new version of 'we are not A-mused?' hahahahahahaha (stop that!) Is it rude to laugh at oneself? (does that have 2 "s's"?... now I'm making it worse.) Sigh.

Hey... with a title like this and lines like that last one and the whole last verse, methinks (one word or two?) it's all in your head... your muse, that is, or... have I confused the muse issue? Dunno... but I DO know that I thought this was tons of fun to read.

When you mope, poetically, I tend to giggle... is that rude? I love this, EM. katy xox

I keep telling you that I think your muse is the Jersey Devil. Get out to those Pine Barrens tonight and confront him (bring some beer and some Cheetos). And tell him his vacation is over, and that he better start popping over to your place every night!
