Choking…

How is it one night I can eat what I want,

And not awaken or have problems,

Then the next night I eat what I want again,

And I awaken sick and choking, maybe I need fen-fen…?

Poking…

If someone were here I could them poke,

Then maybe the exercise would alleviate my choke,

I keep around a bottle of cherry coke,

To wash away my problems in an ice cream float…

Toking…

Ah, to be able to toke once again,

Since this new job I have had to abstain,

Actually I think with no more to toke I am going insane,

Quite hard for me sometimes to completely abstain…

Stroking…

Sometimes it takes the place of toking,

More than ever an attempt it is to take the place of poking,

Better though to take a nice cold shower and exit soaking,

Standing then in front of an open window may have one croaking…

Joking…

You know of course that I do herein make the joke,

I do try not to in anyway you provoke,

Cannot make jokes without from eggs getting the yoke,

Wish I could make a humorous remark of the 17th century baroque…

what you need is a poke to stroke, course that'd be a joke 'cause you'd choke and you'd really need that toke.

nice humorus write.

As you often do, this one goes for barogue. Avoid word-play or the ladies will call you a cunning linguist.

I hate that acid reflux in the night thing. I get it from eating carbohydrates...potatoes, bread, pasta, etc. Other things don't seem to cause it for me. Getting old is definitely not for sissys.
Take care,
Sherry
