I hate the Phone company… Got no phone, Can’t even call home, Can’t post a poem, Guess I should feel lucky, I got electric & heat, To some in Florida that in itself is a feat… They say I got to wait, Till next Wednesday, too long, Maybe phone service I will disconnect, Getting cable for the computer instead… Just a greater expense, Does it make to you sense? Maybe just for a few months, While another phone service I hunts… When this poem does get posted, You will then know my phone service got toasted, For I refuse to wait seven whole days, For now I am saying ain’t no freakin’ way… © ed ~ 10/25/05

You is addicted, man. I just went a whole week without posting my poem and nothing struck me dead. Until Alexander Graham Bell, we had to talk to the neighbors. Longfellow, Poe, and many others wrote poems without a high speed connection!

Power company is the one that is getting under my skin. Can't do without them......but if we could.......we would! Starting to think cable might be the way after the bill I just got!

Funny how they are never willing to pro-rate your bill for the 7 days you are without service nor are they willing to wait 7 days for you to pay after your bill is due. Gotta hate 'em!!

I do, too, and the electric company and the rent and the loan I took out to get ahead, which put me behinder than I am now. I hear you--take care, you're in my prayers, keep me in yours.

i have no phone, either, can't afford one. maybe one day we will have one, but until then, we do without. that's the price of being poor; but i am grateful to have a job and am able to pay my bills MOSTLY on time! rant on! :)
