Poem Artwork

I HATE COMPUTERS…

Okay, so they are fun,

Personally I would like to,

Package them all and send them to the sun,

Maybe you will take this write as just a little pun…

But for me, I have had them up to here,

My mind and body cannot tolerate them I fear,

Maybe we can get to kick mine to death, a steer,

Wish I did still drink, I really need tonight a beer…

Telling me I am not online,

Though if I were not, how could it tell me that,

I want to scream and yell and otherwise whine,

There ain’t no in any way herein fine line,

In general I just do I bet like you,

HATE THE SHIT OUT OF COMPUTERS TIMES TWO…!

Oh, you poor poor man! Kind of like when you get "Website not responding" and you ask your friend if they are on that site and they say "Yeah, it's working fine!" Hang in there!

I have to admit, sometimes I just pull the plug. I wrote my half a dozen novel manuscripts on an antique Remington Rand Streamliner typewriter sandwiched with carbon paper. And that was the second draft. The first draft, the novels were all written in feather quill and India ink. The third draft on a word processor until I couldn't buy accessories for it, and it was new! because it couldn't compete with the computer. I just bought a computer last year at the advice of my agent because you can't really get anywhere in the publishing world without one. So when I get to the screaming point, I unplug. Thanks for the words, Ed. Without your computer, you couldn't have keyboarded us this little qwerty gem! Did you know that a man by the name of qwerty invented the typing keyboard. He spelled his name out on the second row. A bit of trivia for you all.
