Funny how dreams/fantasy overlap our waking world...

Poem Artwork

All I had to ask for I got always,

For instance I asked for rain,

It didn’t stop nor did it drain,

I asked for snow in summer,

A blizzard we got in July, to some a bummer…

I paid for everything right out of my pocket,

Even did I buy in cash for a moon trip, a rocket,

Rene did have all she could ever want,

Even did I go on a wild animal camera hunt…

In a trance it did seem to put me,

Everything I ever wanted I got for free,

Granted this is something I have always dreamed,

But I was still unhappy, my life was anything but fun to a degree…

No longer did I have to worry,

No longer did I have to hurry,

No one did want to me hire,

And my last job did me fire,

When I developed this attitude,

Giving no one any leeway, no latitude…

Could it have been the money,

The reason in my dream I lost my honey,

My dog did leave me for points less sunny,

My freedom lost, as I thought I could buy,

Myself out of any problem,

In jail my ability to get what I want did me no good,

Other than to maybe make me a better hood…

Sounds more like a lesson...or a nightmare. Excellent write.

You look absolutely adorable...snuggle extra close to your pet tonight, it's supposed to be cold. :) Keep each other warm.

Its not always good to get what we ask for is it? I now ask for what is needed on my path and my path has become less bumpy :-)
