Poem Artwork

Crawling everywhere.

I get sometimes a scare,

In the sink & shower,

On my table & couch,

Most I crush, can almost hear an ouch…

I have sprayed,

Still they’ve stayed,

Its like they are in love with me,

Not far from me have they strayed…

Guess I will start to name the little buggers,

We have not become for each other huggers,

Wonder if I can get them a job as a baseball slugger,

Better that than living with Rufuz & I,

Pop up they do in the most unusual places,

Tired of seeing them am I, that’s why…

Cute, at least for the readers. Maybe you should give them names and then sign over the place...They definitly love you and Rufuz' company,

Guess I will start to name the little buggers

Now that is an excellent thought, brother, and be very nice to them, too.

May these ants in your pants,
Each have a wonderful new name,
And as you travel with your new pets,
Your life will surely never be the same.

Such industrious little creatures, it's a pity they sometimes invade our space and cause grief to themselves in the end. Cute poem, as Tinka says, I hope they don't become a pain in your pants - or in Rufuz's coat!

Always make me smile. . .this time I feel guilty. Ants -- particularly the tiny red ones -- are persistent little buggers,
yes. But if you set boric acid around in jar lids or on pieces of foil. . .whatever. . ., it almost always does 'em in. Beauty of it is, it is environmentally friendly. Wouldn't eat the stuff or put it where Rufus can get at it, but. . .no smell, no foul. Try it!

The natural sprays work the best and are safest for Rufuz; they contain pyrethrens just like what is in flea spray or flea powder. It keeps the eggs from hatching and sterilizes the adults..poor things...LOL Another thing to try is putting sugar outside all around your casita, on the ground...this technique has worked for me in the past. There was nothing in my house for them to eat, so they went outside to the sugar. Very inexpensive treatment too! Try pouring a little bleach down your drains and letting it sit for a while...if they are coming up into your place that way, it will put a stop to it. Just make sure Rufuz doesn't get into the bleach, it could give him a big tummy ache.

Take care,

Sherry
