Picture of a giant ragweed plant...

Poem Artwork

Or so for me, or so I have derived,

My eyes are watering, my throat does itch,

My head does ache & my nose does clog,

Ain’t this time of year a livin’ bitch…?

Livin’ in the wood,

My allergies do get me good,

But I live with them taking pills,

Still its better than livin’ in the hood…

No Crips or bloods,

To deal with here,

Got some neighbors, most drink Buds,

Only have to deal with the occasional passing of a wayward deer…

The beach and relief not far off,

Ah those ocean breezes do keep from me the cough,

From this place someday I will doff,

Hope someday I can live somewhere with little allergies, don’t scoff…

Alergy season is Uiversal. This is one common malady that shows no preference. Here in Macon we have the gorgeous cherry blossom trees, rebel jasmine, wysteria, you name it and if it blooms we grow it. I love the pollen for this reason....and zyrtex.

LOL, yes, I can relate- I was walking around the grocery store the other day with a right eye that would NOT stop watering- so between trying to wipe that and walk with my cane, I was ready to scream- the funny thing is that the watery eye annoyed me more than my daily Fibro pain, lol.! KILL that plant, lol!

Allergies: the band of many a person. I know I have 'em; ever since I came to Texas, that is! Oh, joy! Oh, well--there's worse things, believe it or not! Good write; hope the sneezin' and wheezin' eases soon!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend, Karen Lynn in Texas *achooo000!* pardon... LOL
